Description

This listing describes a pair of churchyard monuments located in the Great Churchyard of Bury St Edmunds. Monument 123, dating from 1767, consists of a headstone and footstone made of Ketton stone, featuring a winged angel head. Monument 124 is an 18th-century headstone, also made of Ketton stone, and it similarly displays a winged angel head. These monuments were surveyed in the Great Churchyard around 1960 by West Suffolk County Council.
