Description

A pair of churchyard monuments located in the Great Churchyard of Bury St Edmunds. The first monument, MON 37, is a tombstone from the early 19th century dedicated to Mary and Thomas Powell, their son Josiah who died in 1836, and their other children Thomas and Martha, also noted in 1836. It features a coffin stone on a base. The second monument, MON 72, is a box tomb from 1816, commemorating Will Johnson, who died in 1816, William Johnson in 1820, Martha Johnson in 1835, and Christopher Johnson in 1845.
