Description
This is a 16th-century house located on Eastgate Street, originally built as an extension to numbers 33A and 33B. It is timber-framed and now rendered, with plain tiles on the roof. The house is two storeys high, with attics. The front features a small-paned bay window on the upper storey, and a 20th-century three-light casement window on the ground storey. A two-light casement window is set into the gable apex. A 20th-century boarded door is set in a plain wooden surround. Inside, there is exposed studding and plain ceiling beams on the ground storey, with studding exposed above. A chimney-stack on the original rear wall contains a ground-floor fireplace with a plain timber lintel.
