Description

This is a house located at 87 High Street, dating from the early 19th century but with a core that dates back to the 18th century. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring three windows. Its walls are made of rendered brick and include a string course at the first floor. The roof is slated and has flat-headed dormers along with a gable chimney. The sash windows are set back within architraves, and the sashes have been renewed with large panes. The entrance door consists of six fielded panels and an oblong fanlight, framed by a moulded architrave and a modillion entablature. There are limestone steps leading up to the door, accompanied by wrought iron railings. Inside, there is a notable mid-18th century staircase with turned balusters.
