Description

The Marlborough Club is a building used as club rooms, dating from the early 19th century. It stands three storeys high and features three windows with a gable front. The walls are finished in stucco, and the roof is covered with concrete tiles. The sash windows have segmental-arched heads and small-pane sashes, although the second floor has replacement large-pane sashes. Above the entrance, there is a staircase window with a semi-circular head and radial glazing bars. The entrance door is off-centre and has five panels, with the central panel shaped like a diamond. This door is flanked by inward-canted fluted pilasters that are recessed within a broad frame, topped with a flat cantilevered canopy. Inside, there is an original staircase featuring turned balusters.
