Description
Crawford House and St. Aubyn's is a pair of houses, with one converted into a shop on the ground floor, dating from the early 19th century. The buildings are three storeys high, with two windows for each house. They are constructed of gault brick and feature a string course at the first and second floors, along with wooden modillion eaves. The hipped roof is slated and has end chimneys made of gault brick.
The upper floors have sash windows with flat arches made of gauged brick and small-pane sashes. St. Aubyn's has a flat-roofed splayed bay with small-pane sashes. Crawford House features a 20th-century plate glass shop window. The central entrance doorways are recessed beneath semi-circular arches of gauged brick, supported by limestone springing stones. Each door consists of two rows of six beaded and fielded panels, topped with fanlights that have radial glazing bars. There are limestone steps leading to the entrances.
