Description

Clinton House is a late 18th-century house and surgery located on Mill Street in Mildenhall. It has two storeys and attics, constructed of painted gault brick, with the upper and end walls being timber-framed and rendered. The roof is made of concrete tiles and features segmental-headed casement dormers, along with axial chimneys made of gault brick.

On the first floor, there are 2- and 3-light 18th-century windows with iron casements. The ground floor has a pair of splayed bay windows from around 1900, which include sashes and hipped roofs. The entrance doorway is notable for its good 18th-century design, featuring Doric columns and an entablature, along with a broken pediment that has an enriched soffit, a six-panelled door, and a semi-circular fanlight. Additionally, the right-hand cell of the building was added around 1900.
