Nos 22 and 23 Callis Street is a 17th century timber-framed and plastered house that consists of two tenements. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring a four-window range. The northern part of the house has 18th century double-hung sash windows with glazing bars and a 20th century shopfront on the ground floor. The southern part has 20th century alterations. The roof is tiled and half-hipped at the northern end. All the listed buildings on Callis Street are part of a group.
