Description
Northmore Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century, with alterations made around 1930. It features a two-cell layout that was originally a lobby-entrance plan. The building has two storeys and attics, constructed with timber framing and rendered surfaces, adorned with early 20th-century fan-pattern pargetting. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a large axial chimney made of gault brick. The windows are early 20th-century small-pane casements, and there is a glazed entrance door. Inside, there is a large open fireplace in the hall, and the close-studding is exposed. The early 20th-century extensions on the north and west sides, as well as the long wing next to North End Road, are not considered of special interest.
