Description
Nos. 14 and 16 on Oxford Street are a house and shop built in the 18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. The building is one-and-a-half storeys tall and includes attics, originally designed as a three-cell lobby-entrance house. It features painted brickwork and a pantiled half-hipped roof, which has flat-roof dormers containing sash windows. The building has axial chimneys made of red brick.
No. 14 includes a late 19th-century, one-storey flat-roofed bay with sash windows and a six-panel led entrance door. No. 16 features a projecting late 19th-century shop front, which has a dentil cornice supported by double console brackets and pilasters at each end. The entrance door is glazed and includes etched lettering.
