Description
No. 13 Bury Road is a late 18th-century cottage that stands one and a half storeys tall with a two-cell plan. It is constructed with a timber frame and rendered exterior, topped with a clay pantiled roof. The cottage features an internal chimney stack with a plain white brick shaft. There are two early 20th-century casement windows, each with two small panes, and two dormers that have shallow-pitched gabled roofs. The entrance is marked by a plank door. Inside, the timber of the walls and ceilings is exposed, showcasing long primary braces that bisect thin studs and joists that are set on edge. At the rear, there is a single-storey lean-to that matches the style of the front range and is contemporary with it. The cottage is included for its group value.
