Description

This building is a Post Office, dating from the early 18th century. It is 1 and a half storeys high and has a 2-cell plan with a central entrance. The structure is timber-framed and roughcast, covered with early 20th-century asbestos tiles. There are two end chimney stacks set internally, featuring plain red brick shafts. The building has two small-paned cross windows and two gabled dormers. Inside, the main beam and posts of one truss are visible. The chimney stack at the north end appears to be a later addition. This building is included for its group value.
