Description
The Hall is a former rectory built around 1820. It has three storeys with a white brick front and a red brick rear, both of which are colour-washed. The slate roof features a wide eaves overhang. The building has a five-window range with small-paned sash windows set in deep reveals, each topped with flat gauged arches. A Greek Doric portico with three-quarter columns and an entablature leads to a four-panel door that has an oblong fanlight above it. On the south side, there is a two-storey extension that overlaps the main range and has a two-span roof, along with an external chimney stack that has an arched base. The Hall was noted in David Elisha Davy's Journal in 1829 as 'recently improved and repaired' and was referred to in a Glebe Terrier of 1834 as 'now rebuilt'.
