STANSFIELD Cart Shed at Stansfield Hall

Cartshed with granary over. C18. Weatherboarded timber-frame with half-hipped pantile roof. Brick plinth. 2 storeys. 3 3-light windows to side with dormer over. Cartshed opening on west end with 3-light window over. On east end elevation a door with 3-light window over. Lean-to to rear. INTERIOR. Heavy tall panel framing. Clasped purlin roof with 2 tiers of purlins. Heavy knuckle braces support the granary floor. A little altered cartshed and granary of the period, forming part of a good farmstead group with large aisled barn at Stansfield Hall (qv) and small aisled barn at Stansfield Hall (qv).
