Description

Bayment's Farmhouse is a 16th-century timber-framed and plastered house designed in a T-shaped plan. It features exposed timber-framing and a jettied upper storey on the east front. A 19th-century wing extends to the south. The building has two storeys and attics, with windows that include casements and double-hung sashes with glazing bars, as well as an old window with diamond mullions. The roof is tiled. Although the house has undergone considerable restoration, the work has been carried out in a style that is sympathetic to its original character.
