Description
No. 6 Barnham Road is a pair of estate cottages that have been combined into one house, dating from the early to mid 19th century. The building is two storeys high and constructed of kidney flint, featuring rusticated red brick quoins and dressings, topped with a hipped roof made of black glazed pantiles. It has a central chimney stack with a plain red brick shaft. Each storey has two 3-light casement windows, which include arched Gothic tracery at the heads of the lights and slightly arched brick surrounds. There is a door at each end of the front. The ground floor features a lean-to open veranda that runs the entire length of the front, which is slated and supported by posts. At the rear, there is a two-storey brick wing with an end chimney and a brick lean-to.
