Description

50 and 51 Whiting Street are a pair of cottages built in the early 19th century, likely designed by William Steggles. They are constructed from white brick and covered with slate. The cottages are two storeys tall, featuring two windows on each storey. All windows are 16-pane sashes set in flush cased frames, topped with flat gauged arches. Each cottage has a door with four sunk panels, framed by a plain semicircular arched brick surround, with a blank fanlight above. These cottages are included for their group value as part of the street scene.
