Description
The Water Mill is a house located on Hoxne Watermill Lane, dating from the mid-19th century, with some earlier work at the rear. The building is constructed of whitewashed white brick, with red brick additions at the back. It features a hipped pantiled roof with a shallow pitch and stands two storeys tall. The front has a symmetrical three-bay facade, with inset sash windows that have glazing bars, all set under flat brick arches. There are paired louvred shutters on the windows. The entrance is marked by a gabled porch, which has stucco pilasters on either side of the doorway, a four-panel door, and a semi-circular fanlight that contains 20th-century leaded glazing, topped with a raised stucco keystone. The interior has not been examined. The building is included for its group value.
