Description

This barn, located 30 meters northeast of The Grange, dates from the late 16th century or 17th century. It is likely five bays in size and features a timber frame that is weatherboarded up to mid-height, with the upper walls plastered. The roof is covered with Roman pantiles and was originally thatched. On the north side, there is a weatherboarded porch with a pantiled roof, and the south side has a central set of four boarded barn doors. Additionally, there is a stable-type boarded door leading to a loft on the upper west gable. The barn has 20th-century metal windows at the upper level on the south side and a two-tier side purlin roof.
