Description
Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century, with alterations from the 17th century. It features a three-cell lobby entrance plan and stands two storeys high. The building is timber-framed and plastered, with mid 20th-century herringbone pargetting in panels. The roof is pantiled, having originally been thatched. There is a central 17th-century axial chimney made of red brick, with the shaft mostly rebuilt in the 19th century, and another chimney from the 19th century to the left. An external 17th-century end chimney is located on the right side. The windows are small-pane casements, primarily from the late 19th century. The lobby entrance has a boarded and battened door from the mid 20th century, while a boarded door from the 19th century is situated at the left-hand end.
