Description
Willow Farmhouse is an early 17th-century farmhouse featuring a three-cell cross-entry plan and two storeys. The building is timber-framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof that has an axial chimney made of red brick. It has 19th or early 20th-century small-pane casements and a boarded entrance door. The farmhouse showcases typical 17th-century architecture with well-preserved framing, including arch-braced studwork and a wind-braced clasped purlin roof. Inside, there are chamfered twin service room doorways, although the dividing partition has been removed, and chamfered floor joists laid flat. The hall contains an open fireplace, which was originally the only hearth in the house. To the left, there is a lower service extension with a pantiled roof.
