Description
Rose Cottage, The Cottage, and The Nest form a terrace of three cottages, likely dating from the 17th century, with the possibility of an earlier core. The original structure, which includes The Nest and Rose Cottage, features a three-cell cross passage entrance plan. The cottages are one storey high with attics and are constructed from timber framing with a roughcast finish. The roof is pantiled and was probably originally thatched, featuring a central chimney made of red brick from the 17th or 18th century, along with 19th-century raking casement dormers. The windows are mainly 19th-century small-pane casements, and the entrance doors are boarded. The Cottage is a two-storey addition from the 19th century.
