Description

Puttocks is a house dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century, featuring a three-cell plan, likely with a cross-entry. It has one storey and attics, constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior. The roof is thatched, with red brick chimneys and eyebrow casement dormers. There are small pane casements from the late 20th century, and a late 20th century thatched entrance porch with a boarded door. Internally, some unmoulded framing of 17th century style is exposed. The building underwent remodelling around 1970, which included the addition of an extra cell to the right-hand end.
