Description

SOMERSHAM CHURCH LANE TM 04 NE 6/161 Church Farmhouse - - II Farmhouse, C17 with alterations of C18 and late C19. 2 storeys. A 2-cell lobby-entrance plan house, with a parallel range added to east side in C19 forming double-pile plan. Timber-framed and plastered the C19 work is in painted brick. Pantiled 2-span roof with central chimney of red brick. Several late C19 hipped plaintiled bays with casement windows. C20 4-panelled entrance door. Some typical C17 framing exposed internally with back-to-back open fireplaces in hall and parlour.
