Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century and late 19th century. The building has two storeys and features a two-cell lobby-entrance plan. A parallel range was added to the east side in the 19th century, creating a double-pile plan. The original structure is timber-framed and plastered, while the 19th-century work is in painted brick. It has a pantiled two-span roof with a central chimney made of red brick. There are several late 19th-century hipped plaintiled bays with casement windows. The entrance door, which is from the 20th century, has four panels. Inside, some typical 17th-century framing is exposed, and there are back-to-back open fireplaces in the hall and parlour.
