Description
Elm Farmhouse is an early 17th-century farmhouse featuring a two-cell end-chimney plan and two storeys. The building is primarily timber-framed and plastered, although the left-hand gable was rebuilt in the 19th century using red brick. It has a plaintiled roof that includes a 17th-century internal end chimney on the left and a 19th-century external end chimney on the right. The windows are a mix of 19th and 20th-century casements. A 20th-century plaintiled gabled porch with a boarded entrance door adds to the façade. Inside, the farmhouse showcases complete typical 17th-century timber-framing, which is unmoulded and exposed.
