REDGRAVE HALF MOON LANE (NORTH TM 0477 SIDE) 5/73 Priory Farm House 29.7.55 GV II

Farmhouse. Late C16, extended C17, altered C20. Timber frame, roughcast. Steeply pitched pantiled roofs. 3 cell lobby entry plan with kitchen/dairy wing added to form an L on plan. 2 storeys with attic to main range. Entrance to left of centre with a 6 raised panelled door, recessed and architraved. C20 3-light casements. Plinth, boxed eaves. Axial ridge stack to left of centre between hall and parlour, rebuilt cap. Gable end 2-light glazing bar casements, right end C20 external stack. Lean-to addition behind main range. Service wing to rear right has boarded doors towards front, a ridge stack between kitchen and dairy, rear gable end boarded hay loft door. Extending to right from dairy is a flint and brick outbuilding with a hipped pantiled roof. Interior: frame largely concealed, evidence of close studding, stop chamfered storey posts and binding beams. First floor indented ogee stop chamfered axial binding beams for C17 attic, arched bracing in end walls, original diamond mullioned window opening blocked by service wing addition. Collars clasp purlins, arched windbraces.
