Description
Nos. 3, 5, and 7 High Street are three houses that were likely built in the 17th century as a single structure, with alterations made in the early 19th century. The buildings are two storeys high and feature three windows. They are timber-framed and roughcast, with No. 7 displaying a large stylized tree parged in high relief, added around 1980. The roofs are slated, although the rear slope and one rear wing still have plain tiles. An axial chimney made of gault brick is present. The houses have early 19th-century sash windows, with No. 7 featuring small panes and the others having large panes. The entrance doors, also from the early 19th century, are six-panelled, with the upper four panels being fielded. During the early 19th century, the original timber-framed walls of the three-cell front range were raised and re-roofed, leading to the subdivision of the house into three separate tenements.
