Description
Mundy's Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 16th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of timber framing and plaster, with the right-hand gable end faced in colourwashed brick. The roof is thatched and hipped over the left-hand service end. The building has two storeys and features various casement windows, including some reproduction mullioned windows at the front. There are three original diamond-mullioned windows on the rear at first floor level, with another visible internally on the ground floor. The entrance door is half-glazed and set within a simple gabled porch. Inside, there is an internal axial stack, and evidence of a cross-passage in the hall, with renewed arched heads to former doorways. The hall and service end have a queen-post roof, and the stack is a later addition. The section of the house beyond the stack has been altered and appears to have an inserted floor.
