Description

Nos. 9 and 10 Hall Road is a former farmhouse, now divided into two cottages, dating from the 15th to 16th century. The building features a hall range with a cross-wing to the east, constructed from timber framing and plaster, topped with a thatched roof. It is 1½ storeys high and has 20th-century small-paned casement windows. The hall range includes a boarded entrance door and one eyebrow dormer. There is an internal stack at the junction of the two sections, which has a 19th-century shaft. Although the interior has not been examined, it is reported to contain a medieval former open hall.
