Description
Heron Chase is a former farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with an in-line addition from the mid 20th century to the right and a cross-wing built around 1982. The building is timber framed, roughcast-rendered, and has a thatched roof, while the 20th-century work is smooth-rendered and has a pantiled roof. It has a three-cell form and stands two storeys tall. The mid 20th-century casement windows do not have glazing bars. There is a doorway in the mid 20th-century addition with a corner porch adjacent to the cross-wing. The building features internal and gable stacks, all with rendered shafts. The parlour joists include a single roll moulding, although the remainder of the interior has not been examined. In around 1920, it was known as the Green Man public house.
