Mill Green

Mill Green is a house dating from the late 17th century, with 19th century additions on the right side. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a thatched roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and follows a 3-cell, lobby entry layout. It has small casement windows from the 19th and 20th centuries, and to the right, there is a 24-paned sash window. The entrance includes a 19th century six-panel door, with the upper two panels glazed, and is sheltered by a simple gabled wooden porch. The house has three small dormers with raking pantiled roofs and an internal stack. The 19th century addition is made of plastered brick and has a glazed black pantiled roof, featuring one segmental-headed cross window without glazing bars. The ground floor displays small oak studs with straight primary braces and plain square joists, while the service partition has been removed. The upper floor has not been examined.
