Description
Meadow Cottage is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and roughcast render, topped by a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring a two-cell layout. There are mid-20th century small-paned casement windows and a gabled entrance porch with a half-glazed door. An internal stack has been rebuilt in the mid-20th century. To the right, there is a one-storey lean-to. The frame consists of only three bays, mostly exposed internally, with reversed corner bracing. The first floor structure has plain joists laid flat, while the attic joists are positioned on-edge. The roof includes clasped purlins.
