Description

Castle Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a roughcast render finish, with a roof covered in corrugated iron. The building has two storeys and an attic, following a three-cell plan. It features 19th-century small pane casement windows and a lobby entrance that includes a modern boarded door and a simple open brick porch. To the left side, there is an additional doorway with a boarded door. Inside, there is an internal stack and some notable exposed timbering, along with original newel stairs on both flights and original attic floorboarding. A small single-storey outhouse to the west has been joined to the main range.
