Description
Claremont Cottage and Honeysuckle Cottage are a pair of early 19th-century dwellings located on the west side of The Street in Thornham Magna. They feature a timber frame on a brick base, with a plastered exterior and a pantiled roof. Each cottage has a two-storey, paired two-cell lobby entry plan. The central entrance of each cottage includes a boarded architraved door on the left and a part-glazed door on the right, both with hoodboards and an offset plinth. The windows are three-light glazing bar casements with pointed arched heads and hoodmoulds, and the eaves are boxed. Each cottage has two red brick cross axial ridge stacks at the center. The gable ends reveal exposed plates and purlins, with a boarded architraved door on the right. At the rear, there is a short added wing on the left, and a lean-to addition with a stack in the center and right.
