Description
No. 25 High Street is a house with an early 19th-century facade that likely covers a core from the 16th century. The building is timber-framed and has been encased in early 19th-century gault brick at the front. It features a plaintiled roof and stands two storeys tall with three windows. The windows are early 19th-century small-pane sashes, each with cambered and moulded lintels, which are probably made of cast iron and supported by dentilled brackets. The entrance doorway includes a five-panelled door with an oblong fanlight above it, also featuring a similar lintel. To the left of the main entrance is a small six-panelled tradesmen's door. At the rear, there is a small 17th-century wing that is timber-framed, partly plastered, and has a hipped plaintiled roof.
