Description

Yew Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It features a three-cell lobby-entrance plan and stands two storeys tall. The building is timber-framed and plastered, with a concrete tiled roof that was originally thatched. There is a late 16th century or early 17th century axial chimney made of pink and buff brick, which was recapped in 19th century red brick. The upper storey has small-pane early 19th century sash windows, while early 20th century casements are found below. A 20th century porch is located at the lobby-entrance position, featuring a flush door with a glazed panel. The interior has not been examined.
