OLD NEWTON WITH DAGWORTH SILVER LANE Cherry Tree Cottage

House. Early C18. Rendered and colour-washed clay lump walls with thatch roof, hipped to right. Central ridge stack. 2 storeys. 2-window range at first floor of a 3-light casement to left and a 2-light casement to right. Glazed door to left below then 2-light casement and tall window. Single-storey extensions on both ends. Outshut to rear with pantile roof, casements and glazed door. INTERIOR. Chamfered bridging beams and central C19 stack with small back-to-back open fireplaces. First floor has ceiling at collar level but original roof is visible below with rafters of light scantling rising from the clay lump walls.
