Description
Yew Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It has two storeys and features a three-cell cross-entry plan. The building is timber-framed and plastered, with the eastern gable facing the road displaying a projecting gable tiebeam supported by brackets beneath the wallplates. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and the bargeboards are adorned with 19th-century spike finials. There is an axial chimney from the early 17th century made of red brick, featuring a sawtooth shaft. The windows are mainly mid-19th century sash windows with large panes. At the cross-entry, two large 19th-century console brackets flank a 20th-century glazed panelled door. Additionally, a low 19th-century red brick and slated range has been added to the east end of the farmhouse. The interior has not been examined.
