Description
This building is an outbuilding located about 40 meters south of Lockleys. It was originally likely a detached kitchen or brewhouse for Prospect Farm House and has more recently been used as a dwelling and is now a storage building for Lockleys. The structure dates from the 17th century or early 18th century and features a timber frame that is plastered with a painted imitation of a timber frame. It has a thatched roof and consists of two small bays, standing one storey high with an attic.
The building has a boarded door positioned to the right of the center, with a two-light glazing bar casement to the left and a small single light window reaching up to the eaves. There is an external stack on the left end with offsets leading to a narrow cap. On the right end, there is a lean-to made of clay lump and brick with a pantiled roof, which includes a door at the front and a two-light attic casement above, along with exposed purlins. At the rear, there are two and three-light glazing bar casements. The interior has not been inspected.
