TM 07 NE BURGATE GREAT GREEN (SOUTH EAST SIDE) 1/4 Green Farm House - -- II

House. Early C17, altered C19. Timber frame, roughcast. Hipped thatched roof. 3 cell cross passage plan. 2 storeys. Entrance in cross passage position to right of centre, half glazed door in a boarded gabled porch. 1, 2 and 4-light glazing bar casements, ground floor hoodboards. Filleted ridge stack between hall and parlour. Left end clay lump and pantiled lean-to outshut. To rear scattered casements with original ground floor 4-light chamfered mullioned window and first floor 3-light ovolo mullioned window. Interior: 4 centred entrance arch, hall has mortices for large ovolo mullioned window, stop chamfered fireplace bressumer, jowled storey posts to stop chamfered cross axial binding beam, small 3-light diamond mullioned window opening in service bay, arched braces in front wall, curved full height passing tension braces in parlour with curved tension braces from mid rail in end wall, cambered tie beams, collars to side purlin roof.
