Description

Low Farmhouse is a late 16th-century farmhouse. It is timber-framed, with the facade roughcast-rendered and the remainder plastered. The roof is pantiled. The house is two storeys and has an attic, and was originally a three-cell, lobby-entry type building. It has three windows, which are 19th-century casements with a single horizontal glazing bar to each light. A 19th-century half-glazed door provides access. Above the doorway is an original first-floor window featuring ovolo mullions; a further original mullioned window is located at the rear. The stack has three original shafts arranged in a sawtooth fashion, with rebuilt caps. The interior has not been examined.
