Description
Street Farmhouse is a former farmhouse dating from the late 16th century, with a slightly later wing at the rear, creating a T-shaped plan. The building is timber framed, with a 19th-century red brick casing on the facade, while the remainder is plastered. It features a thatched roof and stands two storeys high. The front range consists of a two-cell, lobby entry form, with two windows that are three-light casements, each with a single horizontal glazing bar. The ground floor windows have segmental arches and brick hoodmoulds. There is a mid-20th-century lean-to brick porch with a side door, which contains a four-panelled door, and above the porch is a single-light window. The building has an internal stack, and although the interior has not been examined, the protruding purlins set square suggest a queen-post roof.
