Description
Haughley House is a house that likely dates from the 16th century. It has two storeys and attics, built on a three-cell plan. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, topped with a hipped roof covered in plain tiles. There is one 19th-century flat-roofed dormer featuring a sash window. The house has an axial chimney, with the shaft rebuilt in 19th-century gault brick. The windows are small-pane sashes from the 19th or 20th century. The entrance doorway, which is from the early 20th century, features a six-panelled door and a flat canopy supported by massive console brackets that are carved in a style reminiscent of the late 17th century. The interior has not been examined.
