Description

Rustic Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, or possibly earlier. It has a low, one-story profile with attics. Originally, the house comprised three rooms arranged around a central axis. The construction is timber-framed and plastered, with a concrete tiled roof that was originally thatched. Three 19th-century dormers are set into the roof, each with a casement window. A tall, axial chimney of narrow red bricks, dating to the 17th century, is present, along with a later 19th-century internal chimney of red brick on the left-hand side. The windows are 19th-century casements. A 20th-century gabled porch with a boarded door has been added to the front.
