Description
This urn on a plinth, one of a pair, dates from around 1850 and is located 25 meters west of Shrubland Hall, in the north sector of the Balcony Garden. It is part of the Balcony Garden designed by Sir Charles Barry. The urn is made of white limestone and features decorative swag enrichment at the top and gadrooning below. The rectangular plinth is ramped and has shallow sunk designs on each face, with a moulded octagonal base.
