Description
The basin on a plinth, one of a pair, is located 25 meters west of Shrubland Hall in the south sector of the Balcony Garden. It dates from around 1850 and is part of the Balcony Garden designed by Sir Charles Barry. Made of white limestone, the basin is shallow and has a diameter of approximately 1.5 meters. It is supported by three piers that feature leopard heads, resembling a term. The base of the basin is triangular, with moulded concave segmental sides.
