Description
The Halberd Inn is a timber-framed and plastered building, likely originating from the 17th century. It was refronted in the 19th century and is currently faced with roughcast. The structure has three storeys and features a four-window range on the Northgate Street front, although two of the alternate ranges are blocked. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The first storey jetties out over the ground floor, which has a 19th-century public house front. The roofs are tiled, with a double gable on the east front that includes sham timber-framing.
