Description

Nos 28 and 30, St Margaret’s Green are an 18th or early 19th century red brick front applied to what was originally a 17th century timber-framed and plastered house. The building is two storeys high with attics, and has a three-window front. The windows are double-hung sashes, some with vertical glazing bars, set in flush cased frames. The ground floor has 19th-century windows, including a three-light window, and a central doorway with plain reveals. The roofs are tiled, with two segmental-headed dormers.

Nos 28 and 30, together with Nos 26, 10, 12, 21, 23, the Church of St Margaret, and Nos 2 to 6 on Bolton Lane, form a group of buildings with group value.
