Description

The Black Horse Inn is a 16th-century timber-framed and plastered building located at 1260 Blackhorse Lane. It features a cross wing at the north end and an additional wing extending east at the rear. The building underwent alterations in the 18th century and later. Originally, the first storey jettied but was later built out in brick, likely in the 16th century, and is now painted. The inn has two storeys and cellars, with a three-window range of 18th-century double-hung sashes with glazing bars in flush cased frames. The ground storey includes one three-light window, and the roof is tiled.
