Description

Nos 2-8 on Barrack Lane is an 18th-century brick house that has been altered in the 19th century and is now painted. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring a five-window range with double-hung sashes that have glazing bars on the upper storey, all set in flush cased frames. A raised brick band runs between the storeys. The central doorway is framed by a wood doorcase with pilasters, a frieze, and a pediment. The ground storey displays a 19th or 20th-century public house front with pilasters and an entablature. The roof is tiled and includes three gabled dormers.
